Your Trip Is Short

We hear the call of the tribal drums.

The message is hard to ignore:

In the spirit of phun,

we dance in the sun,

like those who came before.

“One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain”

When we fight a war,

we use glowsticks.

While you enjoy myself

Know this, “our intent is all for your delight”

As night falls,

“Sanity” never came my way.

One nation, “sharin’ in a groove”

One question, springs to mind:

“What is the central theme?”

Are we all part of an impossible dream?

It all began as a running joke.

As we come together

we can see there is hope:

for a brighter day,

another way,

a place to play.

Bumper sticker wisdom,

Fortune cookie philosophy,

Call it what you will.

“Work sucks…I’m goin’ on tour”

In search of the everlasting spoof.
